CONCEPT:
Rando is a contemporary homage
to German Romanesque typefaces from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century such as Anker Romanisch (Schelter & Giesecke) or Hamburger Römisch (Schriftguß A.G.). In this period many foundries published their own versions categorized “Romanesque,” often with the same designs but with different names. The new Rando is designed
in a text and display version with five weights.
