Lynne Yun is a NYC-based type designer who specializes in typography, hand lettering, and calligraphy. She is a type designer at Monotype and is a board member of AIGA NY.
Lynne has the honor of winning the Ascenders award from the Type Directors Club, which honors designers under the age of 35 who show remarkable achievement in typography, type design, and lettering. She was also featured in Print Magazine as one of 'The 10 Most Talented Female Creatives Living and Breathing Letters Today'. Prior to working at Monotype, Lynne previously held positions as a graphic designer at Apple, Publicis, and Deutsch. She holds a BFA in graphic design from the School of Visual Arts and a postgraduate certificate in typeface design from Type@Cooper. Lynne has worked with a broad range of clients, including Google, Samsung, Anheuser-Busch, and the World Trade Center to name a few. She is a proud member of Alphabettes and served on the board of Society of Scribes prior to joining the board of AIGA NY.
