CONCEPT:
Located on the campus of Harvard University, Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts is dedicated to art, design, and education through the exhibitions of existing works and the production of new commissions. Completed in 1963, it is the only building in the United States designed by the French architect Le Corbusier. A custom grid, primary and secondary typefaces, image treatments, and the colors for the poster series were all selected based on this iconic building. Usual uses the scale of proportions similar to Le Corbusier’s Modulor and is worked as a program for the typeface’s metrics.
