CONCEPT:
Sig is a revival of Rudolf Koch’s typeface Wallau, which was a hybrid between blackletter and antiqua. Sig reinterprets Wallau, moving it a bit closer to antiqua and extending it to Cyrillic and Greek. Sig was designed during the first semester of the TypeMedia master course. The Latin was designed for Paul van der Laan’s class, the Cyrillic for Ilya Ruderman’s class, and the Greek for Peter Biľak’s class.
