Work by the ten 2019 Ascenders is on display in New York, showing why the Type Directors Club board of directors chose to showcase these young designers’ remarkable achievements in typography, type design, and lettering.

The Type Directors Club invites everyone to view examples of the work of ten young designers named Ascenders 2019, the result of a competition that received 130 entries by designers from 33 countries. See award-winning work by:

The exhibition will be on display Monday through Friday from August 13 through August 26, and from September 9 through September 13. (The TDC office will be closed while we attend TypeCon in Minneapolis and ATypI in Tokyo.)
Admission is free, but we request that you make an appointment to visit us by emailing Carol Wahler, our executive director, at director@tdc.org. Gallery hours are 9:00am through 4:00pm Monday through Friday. (Remember that we will be closed for some days during the run of this exhibition.)
