The recipients of the Beatrice Warde and TDC Superscript $5,000 scholarships will be awarded during the TDC Scholarship Day event.

The TDC’s first female member, Beatrice Warde, was a journalist, scholar, and passionate advocate of education. Named in her honor and sponsored by Monotype, the scholarship recognizes one female-identifying college junior, whose work demonstrates exceptional talent, sophistication, and skill in the use of typography across current media, not just print.

The 2021 TDC Superscript Scholarship sponsored by Monotype recognizes BIPOC students studying type design at a college or university in the United States.

These two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded during the TDC Scholarship Day event.
