We are dedicated to providing a pleasant and harassment-free participation experience for everyone. Our code of conduct covers members and anyone in attendance at any of our functions or events. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form, or in any place; even if it happens online or outside TDC event premises. Those violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference or event without a refund at the discretion of the organizers, have their membership revoked, and/or be blocked from future participation. We are dedicated to providing a pleasant and harassment-free participation experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, age, lifestyle, religion (or lack thereof), professional experience (or lack thereof), or technology choices (or lack thereof).

​​We do not tolerate harassment of our conference, event, or function participants in any form. This includes our speakers, attendees, volunteers, staff, organization members, sponsors, vendors, and drop-ins. Harassment includes offensive of belittling comments; deliberate intimidation, threats of violence, following or stalking; posting or threatening to post private information; sustained disruption of talks or other happenings; excessive criticism of any member or participant and their professional endeavors; unwelcome sexual attention; unwanted or invasive photography or recording; and disorderly conduct, including but not limited to, abuse of controlled substances or overt drunkenness. Harassment is not appropriate within our community whether it happens at the conference venue, during workshops, at after or before-parties, on social media, or any other online platform. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference or event without a refund at the discretion of the organizers, have their membership revoked, and/or be blocked from future participation in TDC functions.

​​If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of TDC staff immediately. We can be reached via email at conduct@tdc.org, or via direct message at  @typedirectors(Twitter), or @typedirectorsclub(Instagram).Your notifications will be kept in the strictest confidence, and we will respond as quickly as possible. Our team will also be happy to help you contact hotel or venue security, local law enforcement, local support services, provide escorts, or otherwise assist you to feel safe for the duration of the event as we value your attendance.
