The twentieth letter of the Latin-based script.

The nineteenth letter of the Greek-based script; Tau.

The nineteenth letter of the Cyrillic-based script; Teh.

tail (n: tel)

Of a letter, the part that extends below the baseline and to the right, as gjqy. Of the capital letters, Q and R have tails, though they need not extend below the baseline.

translation [xy] (n: tr&nz 'lei S@n)

The process of repeating a contour or line by duplicating it and moving it in the x and y directions. The effect is often like that of an edged pen whose nib-corners maintain a similar relationship of the stroke edges as the translation does to the contours.

TrueType (n: 'tru tAip)

A typeface font format that uses quadratic Bezier curves to describe the curves and lines of a glyph.

two-storey

Having two halves divided at the midline of the letter, above the baseline and below the x-height; a is two-storied, alpha is single-storied.
