Ed Benguiat in the Art Directors Hall of Fame

Noted type designer to be inducted into the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame November 2, 2000

Ed is a TDC member, a past president (1990-1991), and recipient of the TDC Medal in 1989. His designs include the amazing Souvenir, Tiffany, Benguiat, Korinna, Caslon No. 225, and others, for ITC; his type designs have set the tone for type since the 1970s.

His other design work for major publications such as Esquire, The New York Times, McCall's, Photography, et al. and for major corporations such as AT&T, A&E, and Estée Lauder set a high bar for all to surpass.

He continues to teach at New York's New School for the Visual Arts.
