Calligraphy, Visual and Verbal: the State of Calligraphy at the Turn of the New Millenium
A Society of Scribes Lecture by Ward Dunham
Ward Dunham will present an eclectic collection of slides illustrating and celebrating many facets of the calligraphic world today. See The works of famous calligraphers known to us all, as well as works by calligraphers who, for one reason or another, are all but unknown -- but whose work is exciting, bold, and absolutely top drawer.
Ward has given workshops, and has been on the faculty of several conferences, throughout the US and abroad. He now works out of his Atelier Gargoyle studio, where he creates large, non-commercial pieces.
