About Vince

Vince Frost
Frost Design Creative Director & CEO
A member of CSD, D&AD, ISTD and the AGI, Vince plays an active role in the world design community, lecturing at colleges and conferences. In the early 90s he became Pentagram London's youngest Associate Director. After five years at the design industry's best "finishing school", he set up Frost Design in 1994. Since then, many awards have come his way, including D&AD silvers, golds from the New York Society of Publication Designers and gongs from the New York and Tokyo Art Directors' Clubs. In 2006 alone Frost won 10 Australian Graphic Design Association awards including 2 pinnacle awards; three Society for Environmental Graphics Design awards; five AWARD awards, as well as being widely published in international journals such as Communication Arts and Creative Review.

In 2004 he made the move to Sydney, Australia, from where Frost continues to work for global clients and win international accolades. Working on a diverse range of projects, from corporate identities to environmental graphics and exhibitions, magazine and book design, advertising and interactive design, Vince's approach is all about coming up with exceptional ideas, based on listening carefully to the needs of each client and coming up with a bespoke solution making each project the very best it can be.

Vince's innovative use of photography and striking typography has been applied to a variety of work, including the award-winning literary magazine Zembla, The Independent newspaper magazine, stamps for the Royal Mail and Australia Post, TV advertising for Tourism Northern Territory, exhibitions at the V&A, and setting up the look of the FT's 'the business' magazine.

Since moving to Australia, Vince has worked on a wide range of projects, including the Tourism NT account; annual reports for Macquarie Bank; communications and signage for Deutsche Bank; the re-brand of the Sydney Opera House; and the identity for Mushroom Records for Warner Music Australia; amongst many others.

Recent magazine projects include the re-design of Australian Creative, the D&AD membership magazine Ampersand, promotional magazines for UTS and Westfield, as well as the award-winning Pol Oxygen magazine "Stretch".

He continues to work with a broad range of international clients, including New York-based Rizzoli Books, the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue, in Zürich, D&AD in London, and international hedge fund EIM. Vince's work was the subject of a retrospective at the Sydney Opera House from January to March 2006. His work was featured in a major design exhibition at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum in 2006. Frost's work is also documented in a 500-page book Frost(sorry trees), spanning more than a decade of award-winning projects.
