Boris Zhutovsky :
Painter, illustrator, book designer. Lives and works in Moscow. Graduated from Moscow Printing Institute (class of 1956). Freelanced for various publishers in Sverdlovsk and Moscow, doing design and illustration for books and periodicals. Boris Zhutovsky won many awards for book design and illustration, national and international. He is a member of the Soviet non-conformist art movement since late 1950s. He participated in the legendary exhibition of 1962 honoring the 30th anniversary of the Moscow Artists Union (that event gained notoriety as a consequence of the visit paid to it by Khrushchev). Exhibitions in USSR since 1959. Zhutovsky's works have been frequently shown in exhibitions in the USA and Europe, since 1964. They are represented in major art collections in Czech Republic, France, Germany Italy, Japan, Poland, and USA. First one-man show in 1990.
