Type Club of Toronto : Fall Schedule
Welcome back all, after what was hopefully a great summer.
I apologize for my absence for the last couple of months, but I've changed careers and have just opened a little Café at Dundas Square called Café Oro (which in Spanish, means Gold Coffee).
The email remains the same, but I have left Massy College after 14 years.
This doesn't mean the Type Club will be less active, rather that it has just had a brief hiatus. The Type Club is still up and running and I have a couple of Events planned for October & November and am hoping to put at least a third Event in before Christmas.
At present we are working with Apple & Adobe to do a Tiger/CS2 release Event and also hope to bring one of the most knowledgeable people in the field, Allan Haley, up to talk about Typographic Megatrends.
The Spring should be our wider field of Events with 3 or 4 Speakers, and we have many "cats in the bag" for the New Year.
Bear with me all, if you will, in this time of transition, and fear not that I will do my very best to improve again upon last year's schedule.
I would like to thank the new Members and the people who have recently asked to join our list. We are nearly 300 strong now, which shows a great deal of support and interest within the Community at large.
This is just a preamble to the Season which I'm hoping to update shortly with actual dates. Again, I trust you had a great summer and I look forward to seeing you at our first Event. Cheers,
