Training Synopsis :
Advanced Adobe InDesign will pick up where our previous class left off. This class will be more project based. Students are encouraged to bring to class a design project (a small book, portfolio, identity systems, brochure, etc.) that they can work on through the four week course.
Students must be familiar with the basic tools and concepts of InDesign, as an intermediate level of knowledge of the software will be assumed.
Overall Concepts Covered :
- Setting up and creating long documents
- Book feature
- Creating a Table of Contents or Index
- Creating interactive PDFs from InDesign
- Advanced Styles and layout techniques
- Working with native Photoshop and Illustrator files
- Fine typography
- Best practices for book and publication design
Instructor :
Scott Citron is an award-winning graphic designer and principal of Scott Citron Design. Scott is also an Adobe Certified Training Provider and an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CS. Scott is a founding member and current chapter representative of the New York InDesign Users' Group. In addition, Scott has taught InDesign at Parsons School of Design, New School University, NYU's School of Graduate and Professional Studies, and Fashion Institute of Technology.
Cost for series :
Per session: $40 TDC and SPD members / $60 non-members
Series (4 sessions): $145 TDC and SPD members / $225 non-members
