AIGA Minnesota 2004 Design Camp October 8 - 10
Minneapolis (August 2004) — American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Minnesota Chapter will host its 25th Annual Design Camp October 8-10, 2004 at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minn. Registration for Design Camp 2004 is available online at www.aigaminn.org
The weekend offers speakers and workshops for attendees to explore the craft and business side of design. This year's key speakers are:
- Lars Engman, IKEA Sweden
- Patrick Hull, Birkenstock USA
- Carla Frank, O Magazine
- Paul Matthaeus, Digital Kitchen
After a couple of days of thought-regenerating experiences, there will be a huge bon fire. Attendees are asked to bring their uninspired ideas, and old, tired ways of doing things, and burn 'em, let 'em go, be cleansed — and get ready to create bold, groundbreaking design.
Design Camp 2004 is made possible in part by generous event sponsorship from Trendex and Adobe as well as ongoing support from AIGA Minnesota's exclusive Gold Sponsor Appleton Coated.
Founded 25 years ago, Design Camp is the most successful regional design conference in the country, attracting an average of 300 professionals from the Midwest, the United States and across the world. This inspiring and rejuvenating weekend event brings creative and marketing individuals from agencies, design firms, in-house teams, and freelance.
A volunteer-based, professional organization of graphic designers, AIGA Minnesota is one of the largest and most respected AIGA chapters in the country. The local chapter represents over 800 members from Minnesota, eastern North and South Dakota, western Wisconsin and parts of Canada.
