TDC53 Call Design : Number Seventeen
Emily Oberman and Bonnie Siegler founded Number Seventeen in the summer of 1993. The company is a multi-disciplinary design firm working in television, film, print, products and the web. Some of their recent work includes the brand identity for a new real estate venture in Tribeca, the titles for a documentary about the Dixie Chicks called Shut Up and Sing, the newly reinvented Colors Magazine, the identity and advertising for Air America Radio, the ongoing advertising and design for New York's River to River Festival, the identity and packaging for a new line of modern organic baby food called Homemade Baby and the Glamour Dos and Don'ts book. They have also designed books for In Style Magazine, Will & Grace and Desperate Housewives. Other clients include Saturday Night Live, Conde Nast, Nickelodeon, Hyperion, NBC, MTV, HBO, The Mercer Hotel, The Maritime Hotel and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Before Starting Number Seventeen, Emily was a senior designer at Tibor Kalman's M&Co. And before that she went to Cooper Union. Emily is a past President of the New York Chapter of the AIGA. Before that she served on its national board.
Before Starting Number Seventeen, Bonnie was the design director of VH1. And before that she want to Carnegie Mellon University. Bonnie is a past treasurer of the New York Chapter of the AIGA and is currently serving on its national board.
