TDC53 Jury : John Pobojewski

John Pobojewski is a graphic designer / artist / programmer / musician who seeks to express humanity in design through creating connections. John is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication and a Bachelor of Music in Performance. At Thirst, in collaboration with Rick Valicenti, he has served clients including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology, Wright Auctions, and many others.

As a designer, John has received recognition from STEP 100, The Type Directors Club, of New York, and Graphis, and his work has appeared in Print and I.D. Magazine. In 2006, he was nominated for Print Magazine's "New Visual Artists: 20 under 30." He has lectured at Northern Illinois University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

As a musician, John is a founding member of the Base4 Percussion Quartet, a chamber group that performs modern percussion literature in cutting-edge performances featuring interactive visuals. The group's debut CD, [one], was released in 2003.
