Ed BenguiaWaving his magic wand and speaking with his colorful (Brooklyn) accent, Ed Benguiat will take us through a typographic journey from BC (before computers) to the present New York scene, which will blow you away. He’ll even take you on an awesome tour through his home. Which by the way leads up to some remarkable stories.

Ed has created 609 fonts in his lifetime, (O.K. they’re not all great). But his beautiful ITC fonts cannot be disputed. Just look at Edwardian Script.

Branding has been his thing for years, as well as many logotypes for major corporations. He’ll show a few of them too. You cannot categorize him.

Ed is a legend in his own category of logotypes and typeface design.

Benguiat’s slide show/ talk about typographic design and branding was undoubtedly the most exciting one held at Typo Berlin 2008. It won the best speakers prize awarded to him by Erik Spiekermann who ran the whole shooting match.

Ed will surely put an alphabetical spell on you with that magic wand of his.

SO LOOK OUT!
