This class will introduce you to the basic skills necessary for the wild journey into the mysterious world of type design. Go beyond choosing fonts from the type menu, to creating your own personalized typefaces. In this class you will expand lettering from a logo you designed to a full functioning font; scan type specimens or your own handwriting and make it into a digital font; and learn the basics of designing and generating a typeface with Adobe Illustrator and the new font-design software Glyphs (Mac only). Register online now!

Requirements: Basic Adobe illustrator skills necessary. The TDC cannot provide laptops for all attendees. Please bring your own MacBook with Adobe Illustrator and Glyphs already installed (http://www.glyphsapp.com).
