
Graham Clifford

Graham Clifford is a second-generation typographic designer. He was trained by his father before working for some of London's best advertising agencies CDP and GGT.
He moved to New York in 1989 and plied his craft at Chiat/Day and Ogilvy.
In 1994 the germ of independence took root and he opened his own design consultancy collaborating with agencies and directly with clients on projects including advertising, logo design and brand identity.
Recent assignments have included packaging for musician Moby's Teany brand, poster and opening titles for an Oscar nominated short film, T.V. spots for the Hospital for Special Surgery, and with CP+B Miami, Virgin Atlantic's Jetrosexual magazine and Molson's Twin Label Technology; as well as a proprietary font for MOËT & CHANDON champagne based on the company's type mark.
Awards include: One Show pencils, Communication Arts, Type Directors Club and Art Directors Club and a silver at D&AD.
Graham judged the Art Directors Club awards in 2007, and served TDC on the Program Committee for 2006–2008. In 2008, Graham judged the Typography category at the British D&AD awards as well as the Design competition for Communication Arts. He was honored to chair TDC53 (Typography 28) typography competition held in January 2007.
